On December 14, 2023, Dr. Zeynep Sahin Mencutek participated in a Roundtable Workshop titled, “Bridging Research and Policy Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Shaping Migration Policy”. The policy workshop is organized by European Commission DIRECTORATE-GENERAL FOR RESEARCH AND INNOVATION, Directorate D – People: Health & Society, unit on Health & Societal Transitions. event held in EC’s premise Albert Borchette Conference Centre. It was attended by experts from several EC units and representatives from 13 Horizon projects. The primary objective of this event was to facilitate a dynamic exchange of research findings between Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe research migration and policy officers from the European Commission and other EU institutions. Representing GAPs consortium, Dr. Sahin-Mencutek presented the GAPs research design and policy related impact activities. Policy officers and researchers engaged in constructive dialogue and raised specific questions on how research insights can shape future policy initiatives.
